Dr Simon Ghosh obtained a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and physiology at King’s College London in 1995. He obtained his medical degree at Royal Free Hospital, University College London in 2002. After completing his Basic Surgical Training at South Devon Healthcare, he emigrated to Australia to complete his Advanced Surgical Training through the Newcastle and Gosford network in 2014.
In 2015, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons Australia in General Surgery and completed further specialist training in Bariatric Surgery at the Royal Brisbane Hospital & Holy Spirit Private Hospital (2016).
The fellowship was a high-volume practice with a case load of more than 500 bariatric procedures annually. Dr Simon Ghosh is an active member of the Australian & New Zealand Metabolic and Obesity Society (ANZMOSS) and the Bariatric Surgical Registry (BSR). He participates in educating trainee surgeons in Bariatric surgery for the General Surgery Registrar Network Education Program for Hunter New England.
He currently consults at Erina, Tumbi Umbi and Tuggerah Lakes Private Hospital. He operates at both Gosford Private and Tuggerah Lakes Private Hospital.
Dr Chris Lloyd

Dr Chris Lloyd grew up in Liverpool in the north of England and graduated from Bristol University in the UK in 2000. He worked in several hospitals around the southwest of England and completed his basic surgical training in Bristol before deciding to become a GP. He gained his membership examinations with distinction.
Dr Lee Zimmer
Consultant Anaesthetist, BSc, BMBS, FANZCA
Dr Zimmer began his medical training in the UK before moving to Australia in 2009 where he completed his specialty training to became a Fellow of the Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthesia.
He has special interests in bariatric, opthalmic and regional anaesthesia, in which he now supervises the training for junior colleagues. Dr Zimmer lives and works on the Central Coast of NSW and operates in Gosford, Tuggerah and Brisbane Water Hospitals.
Dr Lisa Hendy
Consultant Anaesthetist, B.SC(MED), MBBS, FANZCA
Lisa completed her training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney and did a fellowship in neuro-anaesthesia in 2012, however her interests include neuro-anaesthesia, anaesthesia for orthopaedic surgery and anaesthesia for colorectal and upper GIT surgery. Although Lisa is now living on the Central Coast she continues to split her work obligations between the Central Coast and Sydney.
Dr Craig Coghlan is a Queensland trained Anaesthetist with experience in all aspects of modern adult and paediatric anaesthesia. His main interests include anaesthesia for urology, colorectal, orthopaedics and complex dental surgery. After completing the majority of his training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in Queensland, Dr Coghlan relocated to the Central Coast. He was appointed as a VMO Anaesthetist at Gosford and Wyong Public Hospitals in 2011. He also works at Gosford Private Hospital, Tuggerah Lakes Hospital and Brisbane Waters Private Hospital.
Dr Coghlan is committed to the development of local hospital policies and procedures including the formation of a sustainable clinical governance framework. He fulfilled this commitment as the appointed Director of Medical Services at Gosford Private Hospital, a position which he served in between 2012 until 2015.
In 2014, Dr Coghlan was elected to the board of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists as the New Fellow Councillor. In this position he contributed to the ongoing development of policies and programs which result in improved patient safety in anaesthesia, perioperative medicine and pain medicine.
Laura is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and a member of the Dietitian’s Association of Australia with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Honours) from the University of Newcastle. Laura understands that food plays a crucial part in our day to day lives and endeavours to help make food an enjoyable, stress free experience for everyone.

As an Accredited Practising Dietitian and a member of Dietitians Australia, Allyce believes that nutrition should not be complicated. Food decisions are complex and Allyce aims to meet your health goals while encouraging a balance that supports you to be able to freely enjoy your food, through improving your relationship, eating behaviours and attitudes towards, while adequately satisfying and nourishing your body and mind. She is aware that many of her clients feel overwhelmed by all the misinformation and confusion around health and nutrition available both online or from family and friends. It is her goal to simplify and prioritise her recommendations to achieve optimal impact with manageable and sustainable changes.
